TALLINN - The mystical Baltic pearl!

You want to experience the Middle Ages atmosphere at its best? Then Tallinn is definitely the place to be! By being connected to the Baltic sea, the city is interspersed by the hanseatic history, which leaves its adventurous and thrilling marks even till these days. Hidden Diagon Alleys, centuries-old buildings in very good condition and rough coast atmosphere create a picturesque scenery, which can not be misses during your Erasmus Experience!

Special Event: 16.11. – 02.12.

Especially in these days, a highlight will take place in the Estonian capital: The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival! (PÖFF)

This traditional film festival has grown to one of the biggest in Northern Europe! More than 1200 filmmakers will be in Tallinn to enchant the dark nights into bright sparkling moments, very likely a special event for students. The student discount will offer you a cheap opportunity for one of the biggest events in the creative industry!

How to get there?

The most beautiful way to go to the hanseatic Tallinn would be definitely by ferry. But unfortunately there is no good connection between Lithuania and Tallinn. Even though flying would be the easiest alternative, it´s pretty expensive for us students. So going by bus is probably the best descison, Eurolines for example are offering a promo discount at the moment. A oneway ticket would cost round about 15-20€

Where to sleep?

You want it cheap? Check out The Monk`s Bunk! Located in heart of the city, nearly everything is quickly reachable by foot. This Hostel is known as a party hostel and offers you welcome shots, a 24 hours bar, beer pong tournaments and an unique party atmosphere. In a group of four people, you only pay 12 euros each night.

Where to eat?

The old town is full of good food restaurants and places to stay. If you prefer to try something special, you have to go to Ode Hanse. In there you can decide between medieval menus, which seem to be an unique taste experience. Looking for a special beer to try, let´s order the Light Cinnamon Beer.
