The dynamic life of Berlin

Be part of the dynamic life of Berlin! Located only 1 hour and half by plane away from Vilnius the capital of Germany is waiting for you to explore! Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate and The Reichstag are only some of the main spots of this busy city which you should add to your ERASMUS Experience!

How to get there?

The easiest way to travel to Berlin from Vilnius is by plane. Choosing to fly with Ryanair you will pay less than 10 EUR for a one-way trip - just check the dates before (Sometimes there are also 5 EUR tickets!). The great news do not end here - if you are lucky and have the ESN card you will get 15% discount and also luggage of 20kg for free. This sounds awesome, doesn't it!?

Important advice: Do not forget to bring your ID card or passport and in addition your ESN card with a photo!

Where to sleep?

As known, in Berlin it is not very cheap but if you are lucky you can pay between 5 and 16 EUR per night. Check out a&o hostel! There are many of them in the town so you can choose the best option for you! We advise you to book the one in Berlin Mitte, which is located right in the center. The cheapest rooms are shared but this is a good opportunity to make new friendships abroad.

Where to eat?

Staying in Berlin you will not be hungry! When you are on the famous Alexanderplatz and tired of shopping, you can find a big variety of restaurants situated on each corner. But at least once you have to try their Currywurst and Döner Kebab - very delicious ones. For this meals you may pay 3-5 EUR depending on what exactly you want.

Best (free) sights

We can offer you a route starting from the main train station and ending at Alexanderplatz (or visa versa). This is the best way to get an overview over the main sights. You will walk by the work place of Angela Merkel - the chancellor, The Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, many embassies of different countries, popular Lindenstrasse, Berliner Dom, many museums, TV tower and ...

If you want to enjoy the beautiful view over Berlin, you can go up in the TV tower. The entrance fee is 15.50 EUR for adults, students get 20% discount.  Also the top floor Monkey Bar (Budapester str. 40) with panoramic view and perfect sundowner terrace is the hot spot after dusk. An international choice of drinks and fine wine as well as bar snacks from the NENI kitchen are served. Regular DJ lines and live music events take place at the Monkey Bar. The bar can be booked exclusively upon request and has a direct express lift from street level.
