The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: How are you feeling having won the contest?

Alejandra Páramo: First of all, I am really surprised, because I didn’t expect to win. I think that this kind of contests where they offer some really nice prizes were impossible to win so I am very happy!

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: Could you please tell us about yourself – where do you come from, what are you studying?

Alejandra Páramo: I come from North Spain and I am studying economics and international relations. So you can find me in the Law Faculty or in the Economics one.

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: Why did you choose Vilnius University in Lithuania for your Erasmus studies?

Alejandra Páramo: I really love basketball and I knew that basketball is the second religion here. Additionally, I knew from friends that Vilnius University is a good one. And now here I am.

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: Why did you participate in our contest?

Alejandra Páramo: Because I trusted You. I mean the contest was organized from students and there was more security that there is a chance to win. Otherwise I don’t participate in such contests. Also, I shared it with other Erasmus students because in my opinion, we all love traveling and the idea was great!

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: How often do you read our blog?

Alejandra Páramo: Everytime when you post. Some of the blogs I read even more times and shared the link with friends because I liked it (e.g. post about Minsk).

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: Do you have a favorite blog-post from our page?

Alejandra Páramo: Yes, the one about Copenhagen! 

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: Have you been inspired to visit some of our described destinations?

Alejandra Páramo: Yeah, I would like to go to Copenhagen and Elektrenai!

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: Have you been in some part of Eastern Europe yet? If yes, in which one and how was your experience?

Alejandra Páramo: I was in Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Belarus. Even though all these countries are in Eastern Europe, I feel different in each of them. I had nice experiences everywhere!

The ERASMUS Experience Lithuania: Do you already know what from our Lonely Planet Guide is on your list?

Alejandra Páramo: Russia (in May), Estonia (in February) and Ukraine (in January) are priority for the next year! And all of the countries somewhen soon!

2018 is almost over and the new year is already knocking on our doors. But how do Lithuanians celebrate New Years Eve traditionally? We will present you the most important traditions to comply with in order to have a great 2019!
