The Carlsberg Christmas Market is a traditional highlight in the danish christmas time. Located in Copenhagen, as one of the most modern cities worldwide, you can get lost in a beautiful place that will remind you of a fairytale. The Christmas market will take place inside the brewery´s courtyard, during the first December weekends. So if you are looking for some traditional drink and food options related to the christmas time, go there and get impressed by the Scandinavian way of life!

How to get there?

Copenhagen, as one of the metropolis on the other side of the Baltic Sea, can be reached easily by plane. Its possible to find a round trip below 70€ in the first two December weeks. If you are looking for the cheapest option, we would recommend you to travel from Kaunas  instead of Vilnius. But as you can read in our blog entry about Kaunas, the connection from Vilnius to Kaunas is very convenient and cheap (50% Student Discount by train).

Additional Fact: The danish capital in know for it´s bicycle friendliness! Nearly everyone is going there by bike instead of car, which is leading to a great city atmosphere. Also the danish people seem to be one of the happiest, regarding to many surveys. So, don´t be shy of exploring the city and get into contact with the people there!

Where to sleep?

You have to keep in mind, that normally traveling in the christmas month is more expensive. But still you can get good offers during the first two December weekends. One of the best hostel options is definitely the Urban House with an excellent location! Or if you look for something similar to the name Copenhagen, you should choose the hostel Sleep in Heaven. The price range in both hostels will be between 12-18€ each night.

Where to eat?

Many christmas markets will provide you with traditional and unique food options during your visit. A recommendable place next to the Carlsberg Brewery Market is definitely the market at the Nyhavn harbor. Next to food possibilities you will find entertainment and an amazing old harbor atmosphere!

And of course the world famos danish Hot dog: Den Okoligiske Polseman at the harbor is the number one when it comes to peoples shared experience! It will cost you 5€, but it´s worth!
